The Eagles' most durable song is broadly charting today, tracked across 102 country and platform charts as it nears its fiftieth anniversary — the album arrived December 8, 1976, and Louder has Don Henley and producer Bill Szymczyk revisiting its making half a century on. The title track topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won Record of the Year at the 20th Grammy Awards, per Album Wiki, one of two number-ones the record spawned alongside "New Kid in Town."
