A propulsive big-beat single from the Manchester duo's 2015 album Born in the Echoes has roared back to life through the Netflix thriller Apex, where the track scores a life-or-death chase — Taron Egerton's character starts the song on a radio and gives his quarry until it ends to run. Egerton himself personally begged The Chemical Brothers for the placement, per TopHit. The sync triggered a 429% streaming surge on Spotify, Billboard reports, sending the eleven-year-old cut to number 7 on the UK Singles chart — the act's highest position since "Hey Boy Hey Girl" in 1999. A Grammy-nominated fan favourite has crossed back into the mainstream, broadly charting across 126 country and platform rankings today, with fan-made edits of the scene multiplying across short-form video.
