Somebody said you got a new friend
Does she love you better than I can?
It's a big black sky over my town
I know where you at, I bet she's around

A Netflix romcom has pulled Robyn's most enduring single back into wide circulation. The Swedish singer's 2010 club-floor lament anchors the soundtrack of Voicemails for Isabelle — released internationally as Si tu m'écoutes — with French coverage from The Melting Pop crediting the film for the track's current lift. The song doubled its recent chart footprint to appear across 227 country and platform lists today. Built from Patrik Berger's synth pulse and Robyn's account of watching an ex dance with someone new, the track drew on what Genius calls classic sad-and-lonely disco anthems — Ultravox, Sylvester, Donna Summer. It has scored screen moments before, from Girls to Gossip Girl per Tunefind. This romcom sync is the latest to reactivate it.
