Radiohead's debut single is back across the global charts after a three-week absence, appearing on 95 country and platform charts today. The self-loathing anthem — Thom Yorke's tale of an inebriated man trailing a woman he's fixated on, per Genius — broke through American alternative radio in 1993 and reached the top ten of Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, according to ChartMasters, turning the Oxford band into an overnight import success. The track has aged into a screen-sync staple: the Scala and Kolacny Brothers' choral cover soundtracked the 2010 trailer for The Social Network, and the original has surfaced in everything from Lucifer to Community, per Tunefind. Its return to broad presence is the durability of a grunge-era outsider hymn doing what it always does.
