The 2025 Oasis reunion tour has kept the band's catalog in sustained global motion, and this Noel Gallagher-penned ballad from Heathen Chemistry is among the tracks riding that wave hardest — currently tracked across 95 country and platform charts. Written solely by Noel and recorded at Wheeler End and Olympic Studios, it was one of four singles from the 2002 album and has always occupied a quieter, more consolatory corner of the Oasis catalog than the anthems that defined them. Its recent placement in the end credits of the 2025 biopic I Swear has given the song a fresh point of entry for listeners who may not have come to it through the band's reunion. Earlier placements — the ending theme of The Butterfly Effect (2004) and the pilot of Birds of Prey — cemented its reputation as a grief-and-endurance sync, a role I Swear appears to have reactivated.
