A Runyankole-language worship song from Uganda is broadly charting across 136 country and platform charts today. Grace Lubega — a Kampala-based apostle and founder of Phaneroo Ministries International — recorded the track as a devotional confession of faith, and its three-minute simplicity has given it unusual staying power in East African gospel circles since its 2021 release. The recent TikTok presence around Lubega's ministry, including footage circulating from his "Revive New England 25" campaign in the United States, suggests his international profile has been expanding steadily beyond the continent. A collaboration with Nigerian gospel artist Moses Bliss, titled Worship My King, has also brought Lubega into the wider pan-African gospel conversation this year. Yesu Ndi Owawe sits at the quieter, more intimate end of his catalog — closer to personal liturgy than stadium worship — which may explain its particular durability on streaming platforms where repeat listening drives chart presence.
