The ten-year mark for the Saint Cecilia EP has brought one of its sharpest cuts to broad chart presence across 184 country and platform charts today. Released in November 2015 as a surprise, free download — the band's response to the Paris attacks — the five-track EP has always occupied an unusual place in the Foo Fighters catalog: too brief to anchor a tour cycle, too good to stay obscure. Pitchfork clocked "Savior Breath" at the time as punk Foo Fighters — more raw than Sonic Highways, closer in spirit to Dave Grohl's D.C. hardcore roots than anything the band had released in years. The track runs on compressed urgency, a serrated guitar tone, and a chorus that doubles as a taunt. Meanwhile, the band's 2026 album Your Favorite Toy has kept them in active rotation, giving catalog cuts like this one a fresh audience to backtrack through. A decade on, the EP's context — grief, speed, no label pressure — still defines what makes the song land differently than the band's stadium material.
