The ninth anniversary of one of Avicii's final singles has coincided with its return to broad rotation, tracked across 49 country and platform charts after a stretch off the radar. Released in August 2017 as the lead single from the EP Avīci (01), the song reached number one in Sweden and paired the late producer with vocalist Sandro Cavazza, whose bruised delivery — as We Rave You noted in its anniversary piece — still carries the track's raw center. Since Tim Bergling's death in 2018, the song has functioned as a de facto tribute, a role Cavazza extended on the posthumous Kygo collaboration "Forever Yours." Its melancholy has aged into something closer to memorial than pop. The current spread is its widest in months.
